For athletes
What is ScoutEdge?
A football platform that connects athletes with trials run by academies, clubs and trial organisers. Athletes keep one football profile and ScoutEdge ID. Organisations use ScoutEdge to run trials from registration to check-in, evaluation and decisions.
How do I create my football profile?
Sign up as an athlete with your email or Google account, then add your football details: date of birth, location, positions, preferred foot and playing level. You can add a photo, playing history, achievements, season statistics and evidence links. If you have a football CV as a PDF, you can upload it and review the details we read from it; nothing is saved until you confirm.
How do I find trials?
Sign in and open Find trials. Search by trial name, club or city, filter by city and position, and choose whether to show only trials that are open for registration. Only trials an organisation has published appear.
How do I register for a trial?
Open the trial and press Register. ScoutEdge first checks you're eligible: your age on the trial date, any required positions, the registration deadline and the trial's capacity. If you can't register, you'll see exactly why.
How does check-in work?
Once registered, you get a trial-day pass on the trial page, with a QR code and a short check-in code. At the trial, staff scan the QR code or type the code (or find you by ScoutEdge ID or name), and you're given a bib number. Your passes are also under My registrations.
What is a ScoutEdge ID?
A permanent identifier like SE-7K3M9Q2X, created with your profile. It never changes, so organisations can recognise you across trials.
Can I update my profile?
Yes, at any time from My profile. Your ScoutEdge ID stays the same.
Can I make my profile public?
Yes. Tick Publish my shareable profile and it becomes available at /player/<your-id>. It never shows your email, phone number or date of birth, and you can switch it off at any time.
Who can see my evaluation?
Observations, ratings and decisions from a trial are visible to the organisation that ran it. Each evaluator sees their own, and the organisation sees all of them. They aren't shown on your public profile or to other organisations.
Is ScoutEdge free for athletes?
Yes. Creating a profile and registering for trials is free for athletes.
For organisations
How do organisations create trials?
Sign up as an organisation and complete your organisation profile. Then choose New trial on the dashboard and set the title, venue, dates, registration deadline, capacity, age limits and positions. Save it as a draft or use Save & publish; athletes only see published trials. Registration closes automatically at the deadline.
How are evaluators assigned?
Evaluators use a ScoutEdge scout account. Add them to your organisation by email from the dashboard. Then, on the trial's Trial day page, assign each one to the whole trial or to a specific group. Evaluators only see the players they're assigned to.
How does QR check-in work?
Each registered athlete's pass has a QR code and a 10-character code. In ScoutEdge Live, staff scan the QR code with the phone camera, type the code, or search by ScoutEdge ID or name. Each athlete gets a bib number and, optionally, a group. Duplicate check-ins are blocked, and athletes can't withdraw once they're checked in.
What is ScoutEdge Live?
The phone-first trial-day tool for staff and evaluators: a check-in screen, the list of players (with bib numbers) each evaluator is assigned, and quick observation and rating capture for each player.
How are observations recorded?
In ScoutEdge Live, an evaluator opens a player and writes what they saw and, separately and optionally, what they think it means. Each observation keeps its author and time.
How are evaluations handled?
Evaluators rate each attribute (technical ability, tactical understanding, physical, decision-making, work rate & attitude, and position-specific skills) from 5 Exceptional to 1 Limited, or N/O if not observed, with a confidence level. Each evaluator's ratings are kept separately and shown side by side. They're never averaged, and nobody can change someone else's.
How are decisions recorded?
On the decision board, the organisation records an outcome (shortlisted, further assessment, selected or not selected) with a required reason. Every change is kept in the decision history with who made it and when. Records lock when the trial is marked completed.
Privacy
Is my phone number public?
No. Your mobile number is optional, only you can see it, and it isn't used for signing in.
Can I remove my profile?
You can unpublish your shareable profile at any time from My profile. To delete your account and profile completely, email support@scoutedge.in from the address on your account. Records that are part of an organisation's trial history may be kept, as explained in our privacy policy.
Who can see my information?
Your email, phone number and date of birth are never shown to organisations or publicly. Organisations see a football summary of athletes who registered for their own trials. Your full profile is public only if you publish it. See how ScoutEdge handles data and our privacy policy.
