1. Acceptance
These terms apply to your use of the ScoutEdge football platform ("ScoutEdge", "we", "us") at scoutnow.in. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ScoutEdge.
2. Eligibility
You must give accurate information when you sign up. If you are under 18, you may use ScoutEdge only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. Organisation accounts must be created by someone authorised to act for that organisation.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase Authentication. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account. Each person should have their own account.
4. Athlete information
Athletes are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, history, achievements, statistics and evidence. Only add information that is true and that you're entitled to share. Evidence is labelled with where it came from; athlete-provided evidence is not verified by ScoutEdge unless it is marked otherwise.
5. Organisation accounts
Organisations are responsible for their trials, including dates, venues, eligibility rules and the conduct of the trial itself. Organisations must use athlete information they receive through ScoutEdge only to run and follow up on their own trials, and must handle it lawfully and respectfully. Organisations are responsible for the evaluators they add and assign.
6. Trial registration
Registering for a trial on ScoutEdge tells the organisation you'd like to take part. It is subject to that trial's eligibility rules, deadline and capacity. The organisation, not ScoutEdge, runs the trial and may change or cancel it. You can withdraw while registration is open and before you've been checked in.
7. Evaluations and observations
Observations, ratings and decisions are made by organisations and their evaluators. They reflect those people's judgement at a particular trial and that organisation's needs. They are not assessments made or endorsed by ScoutEdge. A "not selected" outcome is a decision for one trial, not a verdict on an athlete's ability.
8. Your responsibilities
- Keep the information you provide accurate and up to date.
- Respect other users, including young athletes, and their privacy.
- Use ScoutEdge only for football talent, trial and scouting purposes, and in line with applicable laws.
9. Prohibited behaviour
You must not:
- impersonate anyone, or create false athlete or organisation profiles;
- add false statistics, achievements or evidence, or misrepresent a trial;
- harass, exploit or contact athletes for purposes unrelated to football opportunities;
- scrape, copy or export other users' information, or use it for marketing;
- try to access data or features you're not permitted to, or interfere with the platform's security or operation;
- upload unlawful, offensive or harmful content, or content you don't have rights to.
10. Public profiles
Athletes may publish a shareable profile. It is off by default and can be switched off at any time. When it is public, anyone with the link can view it. ScoutEdge isn't responsible for how third parties use information from a profile an athlete has chosen to publish.
11. Uploaded content
You keep ownership of the content you add, such as photos, profile text, CVs and evidence links. You give ScoutEdge permission to store, process and display that content as needed to run the platform, including on your public profile if you publish it. You confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
12. Intellectual property
The ScoutEdge platform, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to ScoutEdge. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the platform as intended.
13. Platform availability
We work to keep ScoutEdge available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause parts of it for maintenance or security reasons.
14. Third-party services
ScoutEdge relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase Authentication for sign-in and Amazon Web Services for hosting. Evidence links may point to external websites. We aren't responsible for third-party websites or services, which have their own terms.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using ScoutEdge at any time and ask us to delete your account at support@scoutedge.in. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put other users at risk, or misuse athlete information. Where appropriate, we'll tell you why. Records that form part of an organisation's trial history may be kept as described in our privacy policy.
16. No guarantees; limitation of liability
ScoutEdge is a software platform. It does not itself offer, promise or guarantee selection, trials, contracts, employment, scholarships or professional football opportunities, or any particular evaluation outcome. Opportunities and decisions come from the organisations that use the platform.
To the extent permitted by law, ScoutEdge is provided "as is". We aren't liable for decisions made by organisations or evaluators, for the conduct of trials, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
17. Changes to the service and these terms
ScoutEdge will change as we improve it. We may update these terms and will change the "last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the website. Continuing to use ScoutEdge after an update means you accept the updated terms.
